Paso Robles Residence by Aidlin Darling Design.

The architecture team of Aidlin Darling Design has completed this contemporary residence near Paso Robles, California. The residence is located in the desert of California’s Central Coast wine region. It’s a house that offers a seemingly fluid transition between indoor and outdoor living. Therefore the heart of the house is the covered outdoor living and dining area. It includes a fireplace and plenty room for the whole family. In addition, this place provides great views of the extensive landscape. All bedrooms are separated from this primary living zone  to offer a maximum of privacy and a retreat for the family members.

The entire house was designed with ecological principles in mind. Despite the hot temperatures outside during summer time, the house doesn’t need an air conditioning. A clever combination of building orientation, thermal mass, shading devices, and a ventilation system ensures a pleasant climate inside the house. Solar photovoltaic and thermal panels supply additional power, space heating, and hot water.

The architects designed a residence in California’s Central Coast wine region, which is not only nicely designed, it also offers highest quality of life and functionality.
